I liked “How to eat a coconut” the best. The voice in the poem felt so alive, and I loved the imagery.

Thank you for reading, Julia! This poem actually pushed me the most. I felt like I was doing something totally different while I was writing it––kind of making it up as I went, which was scary and fun. It makes me happy you resonated with it and enjoyed it!

The poem about waiting for the Lord was my favorite! Love the mango imagery and how you put waiting for the Lord at the end to make the poem suspenseful!

Ahhh thank you!! That was one of my favorites to write. It was cool to try to incorporate that scripture into the imagery I was wanting to use. I'm glad you enjoyed it!!
